Dr. Erin is truly excellent!
I took my cat Santo to see her for stomatitis, a very painful condition that required a full mouth extraction. From the very beginning, Dr. Erin took the time to explain the entire procedure in detail and made me feel completely comfortable and confident in the care Santo would receive.

Santo had the dental procedure and full mouth extraction, and within just a week he was like a completely different cat! He became happier, playful, energetic… my 7-year-old cat turned into a kitten again. Seeing such a positive transformation has been incredible.

I’m beyond happy with the entire experience and so grateful to Dr. Erin for giving Santo his quality of life back. Highly recommend!

Dr. Erin Abrahams is who you want if your cat needs dental care. When our ragdolls finally needed extractions for caudal malocclusion (very common in the breed), we were lucky that our vet recommended Calico Veterinary. Dr. Abrahams took exceptional care of our cats, and we couldn’t be happier with their care. From the initial telehealth consultation to procedure day to post-op follow up, the entire care experience was pleasant, professional, very thoughtful, and cat-centered. Our sweet kitties are somehow even sweeter now that their dental issues have been treated and any discomfort resolved.

Dr. Abrahams is the best. Our cats have needed dental care in the past, and none of the previous practices can even compare. The costs are quite reasonable for feline dentistry and well worthwhile for the wellbeing of your feline companion. We wholeheartedly recommend Calico Veterinary.

Dr Erin and her team took wonderful care of my cat Gavi during a full dental extraction. She explained the condition and process in detail and was able to alleviate my fears. Her compassion and love for cats was obvious, when she got down on the floor and cradled Gavi to calm him. After the procedure she and Isabella kept in touch for updates over the weekend. I wish my doctors were as available. I highly recommend Calico Veterinary.

My 9-year old cat needed teeth extracted. I am SO glad I found Calico. The team was incredibly kind and professional and the facilities were modern and spotless. They ensured I knew what to expect, answered my questions and checked in frequently after the procedure to make sure my cat was okay. I would highly recommend them for any cat dental work, and I would definitely go back if we ever need to.

I highly recommend Calico Vet. Dr. Erin was so kind and patient with my cat. It’s obvious she really loves cats. She took the time to explain everything to me, and emailed me his full records unprompted (which I really appreciate as someone who works in people medicine). She and Isabella texted me in the days following his procedure to check in, even on the weekend.

I was shocked to find out that my young cat needed a full mouth extraction, but just a week after his procedure I could tell he was much more comfortable. He absolutely loves to eat hard kibble even though he’s all gums, and he is more energetic and playful. It was definitely worth the cost to know he’ll be comfortable for the next several years.

My sweet elder cat needed extensive dental work and the care of Dr. Erin and her assistants was gentle, aware, and very attuned to my cat’s needs. My cat’s recovery has been gradual and positive, and she has returned to enthusiastic play activity that I haven’t seen for quite a while. It lets me know she is no longer in pain, is eating normally, and is beautifully relaxed, which is lovely to see.

Calico somehow makes going to the vet feel… pleasant? Dr. Erin, Isabella, and everyone there are amazing—super thoughtful, very on top of things, and clearly focused on keeping your cat as calm and comfortable as possible. I never felt rushed or pressured into anything! They’re really honest and transparent, and explain things in a way that actually makes sense. The texting updates during my cat’s surgery were really helpful too! Definitely eased a lot of the stress that comes with leaving your cat somewhere.
The whole place feels warm and welcoming, and the team is just… cool (also, the coats are great). But the best part is they really include you—you feel like you’re part of your cat’s care, not just dropping them off and hoping for the best. Dr. Erin recently performed a complex full-mouth dental extraction surgery on my beautiful rescue kitty, Eliza.
The level of expertise required for such an extreme dental procedure is immense and Eliza received exemplary compassionate care there from our initial consultation to her post-op check-up. She was completely relaxed (no dogs!) and responded affectionately to Dr. Erin’s total commitment.
Calico Vet is a State of the Art facility on the UWS and we are so grateful to have found it just in time. Eliza has recovered completely and is eating well. It’s been life changing for both of us. Five Stars for sure. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I cannot overstate how positive of an experience I had with Dr. Erin and the team at Calico Veterinary. Every step of the process was clearly communicated, professional, thoughtful, and compassionate.

The level of care provided was exceptional and tuned specifically to the needs of cats. Most normal veterinary practices do not put in the additional effort to provide a comfortable and calming environment for cats, which can result in a stressful and potentially traumatic experience. At Calico Veterinary, creating a calming environment is a priority. From heating pads under your cat’s carrier to ambient music and dim lights, it is apparent that a lot of thought went into every aspect of the experience.

Most importantly, Dr. Erin clearly knows how to handle cats and exudes professionalism and expertise in her field. At no point did I feel unsure about her recommendations. The dental procedure went extremely well, and the aftercare was clearly communicated.

To top it all off, I received multiple days of unprompted follow-up correspondence directly from Dr. Erin and her staff regarding my cat’s recovery. I am deeply appreciative of the whole team and highly recommend anyone looking for dental care for their cat to book an appointment here.

Dr. Abrahams took excellent care of my cat. She was able to provide a diagnosis and treatment plan that had a chance of helping my cat, when no other doctor could even identify the problem. She got to know my cat and did everything in her power to ensure her comfort and that the procedure and recovery would be a success. The procedure was successful and significantly improved my cat’s quality of life. She followed up personally and was always responsive to my questions and very helpful, well after the procedure. I thoroughly recommend Dr. Abrahams and her practice if your cat is having dental issues.

We had a great experience taking our cat to Dr. Erin’s clinic for a dental cleaning and extraction. The experience with Calico Veterinary NYC was great!
Our cat needed dental surgery to remove all her back teeth that were inflamed. The team made this stressful process way easier by being extra caring and explaining everything step by step (both from the medical and the billing standpoint).
Not only the team was very gentle with our cat during surgery prep, after the surgery they texted regularly to monitor our cat progress and give recommendations.
We’ll definitely go back for any dental need!

I’ve had such a great experience getting my cat, Ruthie’s, dental surgery at Calico! Dr. Erin and her team are so kind and responsive, and they took excellent care of Ruthie. I felt very comfortable through the whole process, as it was clear that they are experts. They texted me updates throughout Ruthie’s surgery, and when I went to pick her up, Dr. Erin herself was keeping Ruthie company on the floor. I would recommend Calico to any other cat parents for dental work!

My large long haired black cat needed a full mouth teeth extraction. I was told by another vet that he had stomatitis- which is a horribly painful condition. Dr. Erin said this wasn’t the case, that it’s a common misdiagnosis in cats. He still needed all of his teeth to come out because they were decaying. I checked around at other places, including other cat dentists and the pricing is equivalent. I was able to do a payment plan through a company they work with, which is affordable and reasonable. Everything went so well! They made it a breeze. My cat was adopted from the ACC shelters from a hoarding case, so he’s borderline feral and doesn’t let anyone see or touch him. Dr. Erin handled him with ease! I was very impressed & relieved. The best vet experience I’ve ever had! I will be back! Dr. Erin is so knowledgeable. Everyone on the team is attentive and the office is clean and calm. Thank you so much!
